Ok, will go w/the ‘09 “alternate timeline” canon.

1. The first character I first fell in love with: 

If we really take “first” literally, then George Kirk. He was so amazing and brave in that beginning scene that totally made me get teary. I pretty much knew I was going to like the movie from that scene on. 

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now

Probably Sulu. I didn’t take as immediate of a liking to him as some of the other characters, but the epic fencing scene made me a fan. 

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t

I cannot think of any, actually. I really love the characters in Star Trek, the bad guys would really be the only ones I dislike at all, and, yet, they are good as bad guys. That’s probably the biggest reason I love Star Trek, the characters are fantastic. 

I might say that Kirk can be a bit irritating at times, but I think a lot of people share this view. And, in the end, I still like him. 

4. The character I love that everyone else hates

Not sure, really. I can’t really think of any “hated” characters. A totally random not-popular character I love would be Captain Pike. He is totally awesome. 

5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer

None. Again. 

6. The character I would totally smooch

Doctor “Bones” McCoy. :) 

7. The character I’d want to be like

Probably Uhura. A very intelligent woman who can hold her own among a crew of insane men. Also, she has Spock for a boyfriend, which is pretty awesome. 

8. The character I’d slap

Kirk. Definitely Kirk. Actually, if I were on the Enterprise, this would probably actually happen. He’d start flirting with me, like he does every girl who comes on that ship, and instead of falling for him like everyone else, I’d give him a nice big slap. I think McCoy will thank me, and Spock will pretend he’s emotionally neutral and that he didn’t get a bit of a kick out of it. 

9. A pairing that I love

Spock x Uhura. A lot of ToS purists don’t like the pairing, but I think it’s really cute. Also, in some of the earlier episodes of ToS Uhura is definitively flirting with Spock, so I don’t think this is as uncanon as some people who don’t like how JJ Abrams did the movie like to claim as yet another reason to complain. (I love the movie and will stick up for it against the obnoxious purist “I liked Star Trek before it was cool” hipsters.) 

10. A pairing that I despise

Despise is too strong a word, but I don’t actually ship Kirk x Spock although I LOVE their bromance. I’m just more of a Spock x Uhura and Kirk x ALL the women! kind of girl.
